Dear Freedom of Information Officer,
I am writing to make a formal request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to obtain information regarding the grievances filed at University of East London over the past five years and the outcomes of those grievances.
To assist you in processing this request, please provide the following information:
1. The grievances filed at University of East London from 1 September 2018 to the current date.
For each grievance please provide the following information:
The start date of the grievance;
The categories or nature of the grievances, if available;
The School of the University or relevant department related to the grievance;
Whether this was from an academic member of staff or not;
The corresponding outcome or resolution. This should include whether the grievance was dismissed, upheld, resolved through mediation or negotiation, or any other relevant outcomes.
The date the grievance was closed;
If possible, I kindly request that the information be provided in electronic format, such as a spreadsheet or PDF document. However, if this is not feasible, I am open to receiving the information in any other accessible format.
I understand that you are required to respond to this request within 20 working days from the date of receipt, as stipulated by the Freedom of Information Act 2000. If my request cannot be fulfilled within this timeframe, please provide an estimated date of when I can expect a response.
Should there be any fees associated with processing this request, please inform me in advance. I would appreciate a breakdown of the costs, if applicable, before any work is undertaken.
I would like to reiterate that this request is being made under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, and I expect a timely and complete response. If any clarification or further information is required to fulfil this request, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your patience while we processed your FOI request dated 15 th June 2023.
Please find attached, a PDF with the list of grievances along with the other information you requested organised by most recent to the oldest. You will notice that the dates of closure are missing in some cases. Where this is so the dates have not been captured and are not held by the university.
